First Woodtek Biochar plant commissioned in 2024

At the end of January 2024, a C1000 Biochar plant left Woodtek Engineering for Sweden. This was an urgent order with the C1000 built within a 10 week deadline at Woodtek in Mid Wales, UK. The skid mounted C1000 fits on a standard euro truck ensuring loading, transport and unloading are efficient.

3 weeks after leaving the factory the C1000 was installed and commissioned. This included removing an older biomass boiler and connecting the new C1000 to a district heating system.

By the end of the third week (15.02.2024) Biochar was being produced.

At the time of installation the system the district heating was being extended with the existing system only requiring 550-750kw of thermal energy demand whereas the C1000 produces an unrivalled thermal energy of 1MW per 1 tonne of Biochar (minimum, 1.5MW is achievable). Woodtek Engineering are back in Sweden at the beginning of May with the extended district heating system in place to run the plant at 100% so loo out for an update on the throughput and output of the plant!
